Last spring I wrote a blog post about summer math programs and it proved unusually popular. Once a student becomes deeply engaged in math enrichment, the chief question becomes, “How can I find more?” With this in mind, I hope this will be the first of several posts about summer opportunities.
Summer Workshop in Math (SWIM) is a program at Duke University for girls who will be rising seniors this summer. The camp runs from June 20th to the 30th, and all travel and accommodations are covered (we at MC^2 love free math enrichment). The application does require a letter of recommendation, the completion (or at least an attempt) of three application problems, and is due on February 1st, so for those interested–get started!
